Bored with eating apples, worms, and roots, hungry Badger pronounces that he is so hungry he could "eat a horse," yet when his words are overheard by a nearby horse, Badger knows he will have to set the record straight to put his four-legged friend's mind at ease. Reprint.

Badger gets some yummy ideas from seeing the animals who live near his den, but the main ingredients he tries to catch arenÂ't so eager to become his lunch. And in the end, they unwittingly convince Badger that he should have appreciated what he had in the first place.
